Chrysoprase belongs to the chalcedony family, therefore to the mineral class of oxides. It has a trigonal crystal system. It is one of those stones whose information comes from the past. Therefore, its use at a therapeutic level is by no means recent. The Greeks know it as kyronprason, which literally translated means "golden leek".
