Chalice Well
This symbol you can 'find in Glastonbury, England, at a natural spring with healing properties.
Legend has it that in this well (called "Chalice Well", the "Chalice Well") Joseph of Arimathea threw the Holy Grail to protect it from human evil.
This symbol is very old: the two circles that intersect are universal, and represents the union of heaven and earth, spirit and matter, the conscious and the unconscious, the masculine and the feminine. The same proportions can be found in the design of the ancient sacred places and in medieval cathedrals, and are reflected in turn in the harmonies and proportions found in nature.
