Immerse yourself in the transcendental charm of Himalayan culture with this spectacular, enormous ancient Gao Kalachakra pendant with turquoise and coral, a unique museum-quality piece purchased 40 years ago in Nepal and completely unobtainable today. Masterfully handcrafted from solid 925‰ Sterling Silver, this sacred amulet box stands out for its monumental size and esoteric complexity. The front showcases an intricate mosaic of genuine gemstones: four rare ancient Tibetan turquoise pear-cut drops alternate with four oval red corals, flanking a deep blue central lapis lazuli circled by round corals. The unique feature of this powerful talisman is its opening prayer box structure, used since ancient times by nomads in Tibet, Nepal, and Mongolia to safely carry small sacred objects, handwritten Mantra scrolls, or photos of the Dalai Lama.

This historical Tibetan Gao carries a profound heritage: when China occupied Tibet in 1957, this pendant and all sacred references to HH Dalai Lama were banned and confiscated. To preserve their spiritual essence, Tibetans handed over the empty silver casings while keeping the inner relics safe, making the surviving ancient pieces rare treasures. Measuring 80 mm in height, 73 mm in width, and 17 mm in thickness, this massive 53-gram protective amulet commands immediate attention. Equipped with a large 5x7 mm chain loop, it easily accommodates heavy silver chains or thick cords. In crystal healing, the synergy of turquoise (sky), coral (earth), and lapis lazuli (the cosmos) shields the wearer against the evil eye and spiritual disharmony.

The Gao is certainly the most interesting of the Tibetan jewels in particular this Spectacular ancient Huge Gao Kalachakra with four drop turquoises plus four oval corals and a central lapis surrounded by other round corals, is a very powerful talisman.
It is in fact an amulet, its peculiarity is that it can be opened and closed to preserve and guard precious objects.
The Tibetan Gao is a casket-pendant used by Tibetans since ancient times, but it is also worn in Nepal and Mongolia, here too mostly used by nomads for the convenience of carrying small sacred objects with them.
The material with which it is built is Silver with representative engravings such as the Om, the Eyes of the Buddha and precious stones set in the frame.
Small prayer rolls were usually kept inside the Gao with transcribed Mantras, photographs of the Dalai Lama or sacred representations, often in Italy and Europe small personal objects or lucky charms are also inserted.
There is no certain date of the invention of this beautiful Tibetan article, we believe it is "always" and in their Nepalese tradition and culture.
When China occupied Tibet in 1957, it made this pendant illegal (as well as all sacred images and references to HH Dalai Lama), so they were seized by the Chinese authorities.
Fortunately, the Tibetans still keep the ancient sacred objects that were inside them, delivering the empty envelope.
The oldest Gao are kept today in museums and exhibitions, they have become extremely rare pieces with great sentimental and economic value.
