Discover the ancient Himalayan sound tradition with this "Nadayaga" Tibetan singing bowl, entirely handmade in Nepal. Each piece is unique, created by skilled artisans who have passed down this knowledge for generations.
This bowl is forged using an alloy of seven metals: gold, silver, mercury, copper, iron, tin, and lead. Each metal represents a celestial body: gold is associated with the Sun, silver with the Moon, mercury with Mercury, copper with Venus, iron with Mars, tin with Jupiter, and lead with Saturn. This composition, predominantly copper and tin (bronze), is known as "bell metal" and is prized for its extraordinary resonance and sustain.
With a diameter of 12 cm and a weight of 378 grams, this bowl is tuned to the note C at a frequency of 523 Hz. The sound produced is rich, deep, and prolonged, ideal for stimulating the throat chakra and promoting communication and creative expression.
The bowl is played with the included wooden mallet, covered in felt to produce a soft, enveloping sound. It can be struck on the rim for a decisive tone, or rubbed in a circular motion to obtain the characteristic "singing" effect.
Tibetan bowls have been used for millennia for meditation, spiritual rituals, and healing practices. Their vibrating sound helps to relax the mind and reduce stress, facilitate deep meditative states, rebalance energy centers (chakras), purify environments from stagnant energies, and accompany yoga and sound therapy practices.
Each bowl comes in an elegant gift box, ready to be given.
