AEGISHALMUR is known as the helmet of terror or helm of awe. It is a symbol present in many Norse sagas but its origin is not certain.
According to the stories it was engraved on the inside, on the front, of the helmets of the Viking warriors. This guaranteed them protection in battle, an increase in strength and "poisoned" the enemies with terror.
It seems that this symbol comes from the clans of Norway and is one of the most powerful and mysterious of all Norse symbolism.
It is considered one of the main symbols, for the aficionados of the northern peoples.
This symbol has the strength to fight against negative energies, guaranteeing energetic but also physical protection. It was used by shamans/seers, to increase charismatic strength and to enhance suggestion upon others. It also seems to be able to heal wounds faster.
