The Eye of Horus in Egyptian religion is a symbol of protection and prosperity and of royal power and good health.
Following the syncretism between Horus and Ra in the divinity of Ra-Harakhti, the Eye of Horus was associated with the Eye of Ra, of which it becomes synonymous, even if originally the two eyes referred to very distinct graphic representations. In a more simplified way, if the eye represented is the left, it is lunar of Horus, if right, it is solar of Ra.
