Be fascinated by the mystical power of this phurba, entirely crafted in brass. It is a faithful replica of the ancient ritual dagger used in Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism for over a thousand years. At 55 mm high, it is perfect to wear as a pendant, carrying with you the protective energy of this sacred tool.
The phurba (Sanskrit: kila, Tibetan: Dorje Phurba) was introduced to Tibet in the 8th century by the great master Padmasambhava, who used it to consecrate the ground of the first Buddhist monastery, Samye [citation:5]. Since then, it has become one of the most powerful ritual objects in Tibetan Buddhism. It is not a conventional weapon, but a spiritual tool used to "pin down" negative energies and transform them into positive force [citation:2][citation:5].
The Sanskrit name Vajrakila (or Vajrakilaya) refers both to the dagger and to the wrathful deity who wields it, considered the embodiment of the enlightened activity of all Buddhas and the most powerful for removing spiritual obstacles [citation:7].
The three wrathful faces depicted on the top represent Mahakala, the Great Protector, whose fierce compassion consumes the illusions of ignorance, greed and hatred [citation:2][citation:5]. The three blades symbolize the fire of wisdom that cuts through the three mental poisons [citation:3].
Each pendant comes in an elegant gift box, ready to be given. The pendant is sold without a chain, allowing you to match it with your favorite necklace.
