The niello technique is an ancient decorative art mainly used on metal, especially silver. It combines fine engraving with a dark inlay to create a strong visual contrast.
Process:

Ring Preparation: The ring is shaped from solid silver and pre-polished.

Hand Engraving: Floral designs are carefully engraved by hand using fine tools.

Niello Preparation: Niello is a mixture of silver, copper, lead, and sulfur, creating a deep black or bluish-gray paste or powder.

Inlaying: The niello is applied into the engraved lines and melted using controlled heat.

Finishing: Excess niello is polished off, revealing the design in sharp contrast with the shiny silver surface.
Result: A refined and timeless jewel, with rich black floral details against bright silver — each piece is unique and entirely handmade.
