The ankh symbol represents the key to the underworld as it allows departed souls to come back to life through the union of opposites so as to generate a new body for the unborn future. The secrets of the ankh represent knowledge concerning sacredness or the use of the energy of the kundalini to rise to higher states of consciousness that bring enlightenment in researchers. Egyptologists are still divided on the exact origin of the ankh, since it brings together two almost universal symbols: the eyelet depicts the dawn, the sun rising above the horizon (but not only) represented by the horizontal bar, while the vertical line indicates the path of the celestial body.
